In celebration of August 18 - International Youth Day, the Institute for Youth Development KULT signed contracts with organizations from all parts of BiH, supporting young people’s activities with 80,000 BAM.

The contracts they signed today will allow these young people to take part in non-formal education, participate in marking a trail on the southern slopes of Bjelašnica, stage plays, advocate and participate in decision-making processes. Youth with disabilities will also be supported, through initiatives to train students to act as assistants and recording audio books for youth with visual impairments.

During their 10th session, the Visoko City Council adopted the first Youth Strategy for the period of 2020 - 2024. The Strategy was adopted by 21 votes with one abstention, providing the foundation for better quality implementation of youth policies in this local community.

As restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic eased, the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA opened its door again and welcomed youth back. After more than three months, participants of the Learn, Think and Act! training for young leaders met in Spajalica to learn and work together.

During the third meeting, members of the working groups discussed the results of the analysis of the position and needs of youth in Brčko District of BiH. Based on this analysis, conducted by the Institute for Youth Development KULT for the Government of Brčko District and internal analyses of current youth-related measures and programs implemented by Brčko District, the working group discussed future priority measures for youth. During this meeting, the group learned how to analyze problems, define priorities and propose adequate measures and programs for youth.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Municipality Centar Sarajevo signed a cooperation agreement for working on the Municipality’s new Youth Strategy for the period o 2021-2025. The strategy will be based on a survey of the needs and problems of young people in Centar municipality. The Institute conducted this same survey 10 years ago in this municipality, and it will be interesting to compare the results and development over the past 10 years.
